Dr. Bessell is a native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  He is a US Navy veteran and has practiced consultative optometry for over 25 years.  He specializes in medical optometry, surgical co-management and all aspects of general optometry.  Dr. Bessell has over 20 years experience diagnosing, managing and treating conditions and disease of the human eye and visual system.  He has provided approximately 20,000 patients with pre- and post- operative care for cataracts, glaucoma and laser refractive services.  Dr. Bessell and Dr. Dave' have been professional colleagues for nearly 20 years.  Dr. Bessell has returned to the Richmond area to be closer to his children and grandchildren.  He enjoys spending time with his family, playing racquetball and traveling.  Dr. Bessell is active in many civic associations and is a member of various professional associations.

Dr. Davé was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana.  He received early acceptance into Johns Hopkins University where he enrolled in biomedical engineering.  He graduated early from Hopkins and received a President's Scholarship to Baylor College of Medicine.  Throughout his education he has been involved in basic science and clinical research as well as charitable work. He joined Dominion Eye Associates with Dr. Stephen Volk in 2000.  In 2006, Pope Benedict XVI blessed Dr. Davé for his charitable work.  

Dr. Rishi Parikh is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist who is a native of Cincinnati, Ohio and is returning to Richmond to join Dominion Eye Associates. He graduated from The University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, and was Chief Resident of Ophthalmology at Virginia Commonwealth University Health System. He completed his corneal fellowship training at the world renowned Corneal Associates of New Jersey, where he performed medical management of corneal diseases including corneal ulcers, dry eye syndrome, corneal dystrophies and keratoconus. He also performed surgical management of corneal diseases as well as refractive procedures including LASIK, PRK, PTK, Intacs, collagen cross linking, corneal transplants, DSAEK, pterygium, and cataracts. He has been working at Omni Eye with Paul Ajamian O.D. for the last 5 years in Consultative Ophthalmology. He has performed over 5,000 surgeries and given numerous lectures with Dr. Ajamian.
